Just spent a marvelous weekend in Interlaken/Beatenberg, where my wife and i had three awesome flights over this breathtaking region. Those were our first flights ever, and not only did we feel safe and comfortable in the air, but we also had heaps of fun with the pilots on the minibus ride and before takeoff! Beyond a paragliding flight, an overall fantastic experience!

Thanks Richi & co, you guys rock!!

Outstanding Adventure… Driving into Interlaken my 20 year old daughter Lauren spotted a number of people Para-gliding onto the central park area. Immediately this was at the top of her list of things to do. As a dutiful Dad, I now needed to research who I was going to allow to take her life into their hands. After talking to various people and an information office, we found Richie. He was the consummate professional, he understood my concern and my daughter’s excitement. I would highly recommend him… Ritchie will be at the top of my daughters schedule list if and when she returns to Interlaken. Also, make sure you get the in-flight movie, it will be a forever treasure!

we came to Interlaken looking for some adventure sports...a couple with a 2 years old. For first few days we did some sight seeing but quickly got bored of it. So first we did some river rafting with some great people. I will write about river rafting later in another review but here I want to talk about Para Gliding.

This a sport which anyone with a faint heart should not do it (The pilots make sure they take good care of you even if you are a faint heart), Ursulla from Rugenberg B&B suggested us to look at flystar.ch but she was open with suggestion to try anyone. We chose to go with flystar.ch as they were ready to pick us up from the hotel and the deal seemed all OK to us.

First my wife 'Shweta' took the jump as someone shoudl be there to take care of our 2 year old as he is not allowed to go up there. I waited at the landing ground for my wife and when she came down after 1 hour...she was all wow. I spoke very high of his pilot Richi dean and I was like this guy must be good. But was quite doubtful as this was her first time and everyone gets amazed at first time.

Then it was my turn. I boarded the van and my god the whole awesome experienced started. Its a father n son duo with 3-4 other pilots. They explained to us the whole procedure and safety procedure they follow. They also showed us the snaps of few other people who took the experience. The way to the top was just awesome, its a beautiful drive of 20-25 minutes with lot of places to stop by and took some snaps. They stopped for us at 2 places for snaps.

When we reached the take-off place, it was breathtaking. Richie and other pilots explained us the whole procedure and how we going to take the flight and everything. I chose Richie as my wife spoke very high of him. Richie was very prompt with safety and we waited for good wind to come and here we GO.

It is nothing like you every imagined and we were in air for 30 or so minutes, it was just breathtaking...beautiful...adventurous and just perfect. You get a view of whole Interlaken...the city between 2 lakes. We did some zigzag's...we went up down...left..right. The zigzag were scary but pure rush. It was a experience not to be forgotten in this life.

I am gladful I choose Flystar and Richie and they are the nicest people to fly with. The Para Gliding is something you all should no matter who you choose as your company but its something WOW.

If you are in Interlarken and don't fly with Richi, you've missed out. Hang your head in shame on your way home. We've done two flights now and they both rocked. He really knows his sh!t, I felt totally safe but at the same time the rush was awesome, especially on take-off.

Do yourself a favour, you'll never forget it and the photos Richi takes during the flight are awesome.
